Dot NAME Domains

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain name extension is the single TLD meant for personal websites only. These domains can consist of personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, solely 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you wished to obtain john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also permitted. Already registered 3rd-level names remained active.

Through our company, you can order your dot NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to change the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already purchased domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer code from the current registrar firm and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been completed. There are no special conditions on who can grab a .NAME domain, but in order to maintain the concept behind its establishment alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration can be challenged.
